Protecting your Child from, Sexual Abuse, in your Own Home

As mothers we must be vigilant and protect our children from predators; but most of us do not think we to protect them from, sexual abuse, from their own fathers. Maralee McLean share her story of her 12 year battle to protect her daughter.

TuneIn Radio

Welcome to the Transform Your Mind blog and podcast, I’m your host coach Myrna Young and today I am speaking with Maralee McLean. Maralee is going to be talking to us today about her experience with, sexual abuse, from a parent. This is a very personal story for Maralee and I applaud her braveness and her transparency.

I’ve spoken several times on the show and this blog, of my , sexual abuse, as a child. I wrote a book about my story “Out of the Snares, a story of hope and encouragement” So what I hope to do today is help Maralee bring awareness to, sexual abuse, in the home by family members.

This nightmare became real for Maralee McLean, and her book “Prosecuted but not Silenced” details it. The entire narrative of “protective mothers”, mothers who have to share custody of their children with dangerous, abusive men; defies belief. People with background knowledge of the plight of protective mothers will recognize many themes of Maralee’s story- Woman falls in love with a “nice guy” who turns violent, uses the divorce to unleash a previously unimaginable level of cruelty and violence, and a court system so blinded to this evil and to the needs of children, they facilitate it. But for those who still find Maralee’s story beyond belief, there is almost a hundred pages of appendices providing the actual documentation mentioned in the chapters of the book, as well as background on issue.

Out of the Snares of , sexual abuse

• This book deals with child, sexual abuse, It’s impossible to write a book about child, sexual abuse, without describing child, sexual abuse, there are some concrete and medical description of child, sexual abuse, Readers easily triggered by that should skip through those descriptions, but by no means should they not read the book.
• In some ways, this book is the strongest testimony to the mother-child bond I’ve ever read. It’s also a testimony to why that bond should not be broken capriciously, and why a system that does, cannot be tolerated. This book deals with how our society is willing to sacrifice children on an altar of egos and ideologies. And it illustrates why that must stop.

Google Play

There’s lots of these cases today of protective moms that can’t protect their children, so that’s one of the reason I’m telling this story. I had I’ve been married to a, Domestic Violence abuser, and I really got out of my marriage carefully. Before we got married there were no red flags or books out there to tell you about these kinds of men. I thought a woman had be physically abused for it to be domestic violence. I didn’t understand control and emotional abuse and psychological abuse. I suffered all those abuses. I tell young girls today, especially in college, if they see red flags, run because if they marry that guy and have a child with him, you’re in this for life because that child will be possibly abused. I not saying, sexual abuse, but abuse in other forms.

My red flags were that he would be a perfectly nice guy and then his eyes would change in an instant to scary evil looking eyes.

We were married for many years before I had a baby but once I divorced him, there was a lot going through the divorce in itself. I mean I was stalked, emotionally abused, some physical and psychological. He would write editorials to the newspaper about our divorce and they would print them and they not even true.

When my daughter was a baby her father did not want anything to do with her but once she turns like around 2 years old, he started wanting to see have visitation. This one time on a visitation our two-year-old daughter was wearing this little pink dress, her long dark hair was in a ponytail, her little blue eyes that danced and every one on the street literally stopped me to talk to her and I say her sweet she looked. I dropped her off at her dad at 4 pm for a 3 hour visit. When I went to pick her up about 7:00 pm that evening, I knocked at the door and there was no answer. I thought well that’s weird. I knocked again, still no answer. Finally he comes to the door and I saw my daughter’s clothes are strewn all over the living room floor. He goes upstairs and brings her down the stairs. She was covered in sweat and limp in his arms. Her hair was matted to her head. I asked him what the heck happened to her, my gut pulled tight. He said she got sick. I said well that’s funny because she was fine a few hours ago. I got her clothes together got her dress and got her out of there fast; but I at that point I never would dream he would, sexually abuse, his daughter. I always thought he’d be the greatest father that was one of the reasons I’d married him. I never saw any indication of, sexual abuse, or anything like that in him before this. I thought well she just got sick at his place.

Later within maybe three months or so after that incident, my little girl discloses, sexual abuse, to the daycare provider and to myself in detail. No child could possibly come up with that on her own. She was 2 and a half. I called my sister who was a nurse at Children’s Hospital and I asked her what to do. She told me to ask her again in the morning and see if she repeats it. Don’t mention her father’s name and then take her to her pediatrician, so that’s exactly what I did and she I repeated the same, sexual abuse, to me and to her pediatrician. The doctor notified social services and that’s when my nightmare began!

Social services set up supervised visits and he was the perfect father. Then one day I met The Guardian Ad litem, which is a lawyer for the child. I go into this room and they had other social workers there and the father and she interrogated me like nothing I’ve ever seen on TV. Why would your daughter continue to say, sexual abuse, if you weren’t coaching her?

I said have you talked to the babysitter who spent quality time with my little girl? She had been on the case for 3 months and she had not met the babysitter.

She said this is, parental alienation, I didn’t even know what, parental alienation, meant at the time. This is a term I’ll bring up later. She says this child going into foster care. She already had a foster care home lined up before she even talked to me. I am beyond belief. Her father and I are not even living together. They were going to put my baby into foster care and totally traumatize her. She’s never been away from me. I’m the sole caretaker. But I held it together, because I knew if I emotionally went nuts the would say I was not a fit mother.

After they took my baby, I lay my head on a desk and cried as if my soul was just ripped out of me. Then I drove a hundred miles an hour to Dr. Baker’s office. I walked in with my makeup all over my face. They just took my baby from me, you know the truth, fight for us.
It took me 12 years to get my baby back.

What are the, Secrets to Success,? Here are my 10 Secrets

I do believe that success leaves Clues, As a successful Author, Life Coach, Realtor, and Radio Host, these are my, secrets to success,

My story is probably similar to a lot of people that reached success. Most successful people start off with nothing and I was no exception. Today I am sharing my story on the , secrets of success, podcast with Dr Ken Keis.

I was born in a British Guyana, which is in South America. We have a Caribbean culture, so we consider ourselves part of the Caribbean Islands; but we’re really South American. When I was born Guyana was very poor country, it still is a Third World country. Both my mom and my grandmother were domestic servants and we didn’t have much. My Dad taught me at a very early age the value of education to elevate ourselves out of poverty. He was very smart. When I was born he was in Teachers College and went on to get his PH.D in in London in his early thirties.

I’m submerging myself right now in in in the book “The Biology of Belief” by Dr. Bruce Lipton and I’m understanding from Dr. Lipton, that genes give us 50% of our character and the other 50% comes from the environment we grew up in. Looking back I can say that as a child, because I was the first born I was marooned in love so, the environment that I grew up in, kind of nullified the poverty thing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mp49uQgIBbM&t=331s

I also believe that I’m highly favored. I still see it still every day of my life; but I also got some good breaks. One of the first good breaks is that I had was a very wealthy Godfather. He showered me with a lot of gifts and a lot of love. He ended up also sexually abusing me but I never really focus on that because I’m not a victim. The, sexual abuse, started when I was 10 years old or so and living down the street from him. I was at his house all the time because he had grandchildren and we would play together. I spent most of my time at his house and then when my mom moved to Canada when I was 11, my grandmother and my siblings moved into one of the rental rooms on his property. So I was like right there. This continued until I was about 13 years old and started liking boys.

As a 13 year old girl I noticed I was different from other girls. 13 year old girls were virgins, they never had sex until they started going out with boyfriends. I wasn’t a virgin! Sexual abused, children don’t know that what someone is doing to them is wrong. I did not know it was wrong. My Godfather was considered a family member per se, and I loved him. So at 13 years, I started on my first, secret to success,

#1 I decided I needed respect. I decided not to have sex with boys, because I did not want them to know I was not a virgin. Using my podcast title, I transformed my mindset from being a victim to becoming respectable and started on the first of my, secrets to success,

A story like this that affects you for your entire life until you transform it, until you see that a lot of good people have have a lot of bad things happen to them. If you look at the bad things all the time, it keeps you stuck in the past.

iHeart Radio

#2 of my, secrets to success, is You have to rewrite the story of your past and start writing the story of your future.

God gives you a test, so that you can have a testimony. In my book “Out of the Snares, a story of hope and encouragement” I talk about coming out of the snares of poverty, out of the snares of, sexual abuse, people can have out of the snares of addiction, people can have out of the snares of rape. I wasn’t raped so it’s a little different experience. Somebody took advantage of
my innocence, using their wealth to capture my heart. It happens all the time. Pedophiles, I can spot them in a minute now, because I been through that.

#3 of my, secrets to success, An abundant mindset – I consider that having a wealthy Godfather who gave me everything I wanted, one of my breaks and, secrets to success, even though it came with the, sexual abuse, attachment.

I immigrated to Toronto, Canada at 17 years old. I immediately got a good job at a bank with no experience. After a couple of years, I decided to go to college. Canada is a country with lots of benefits. I was able to go back to school for free, Unemployment insurance from my job paid for my schooling. I graduated with a degree in computer science and I decided to go to sell computers because I understood that that’s where the most money was.

#4 Unleash the power within. was definitely one of my, secrets to success, A couple years into selling computers, I got my 4th of my, secrets to my success, Tony Robbins impacted my life! My story is all about favor. My company was given free tickets to a Tony Robbins seminar. Unleash the Power within. I came out of that seminar and I know now looking back is when I started my consciousness or my awareness journey.

Tony Robbins talked about unleashing the power within and I came out of that seminar at changed woman. I immediately went about starting my own business. I didn’t know what I wanted to do, so I looked it up in books. I decided to become a Limousine Operator. I took that limousine business to one of the top female owned operators in Toronto. I even won the Entrepreneur of the Year award. Then I wanted more. Whenever you achieve a goal, you start on the next goal because the goal is never the ending place. Life is the journey. I would come to Las Vegas every year at the limousine Convention and I thought that the America was where it’s at. America was where all the limousine operators were rich.

I started dreaming of coming to America! I applied for a Free trade agreement visa and set up a branch office of my limousine service in Miami.
Stitcher[/caption]
Then the needle moved again. I no longer wanted to live in the USA without the benefits of becoming a permanent resident, so started my journey into becoming a permanent resident and citizen. That wasn’t without a lot of trepidation and failure. It took me ten years and three marriages. I wrote about it in detail in my book “Out of the Snares, a story of hope and encouragement, pick up a copy. It reads like a suspense thriller!

#5 This is my fifth of my, secrets to success, never give up. It took me ten years but I won. I became an American citizen. I’m married still married to my third American husband and we’re doing great things together.

Sometime after that, I saw this newspaper article about a, Life coach, I had never seen or heard that word before; but I knew immediately that is what I was supposed to be.

#6 That is my 6th, secrets to success, be open for guidance from the Divine or your Higher self. You have to live consciously to be in communication with your spirit guide. I know now that the things that we see and the things that we pay attention to, is the universe speaking to us and directing us to our purpose.

#7 I acted on this vision. This is my 7th of my, secrets to success, Action. My next step was to get certified, so I enrolled in University of Miami coaching program and got my, Life coaching, certification.

About a year after becoming a, Life Coach, I received an invitation to be a guest on a radio show and talk about my , secrets to success, The show was aired on WDJY 99.1 Metro Atlanta. Hype Media Global owned the station and they loved my personality and my content and offered me my own show.

# 8 That’s the 8th of my, secrets to success, Jump in and learn as you go. I had to learn to interview, I had to learn to produce my show and then learn how to convert it to a podcast.

I am now a Life Coach, Realtor, and a Podcast Host.

So to recap, one of the first, secrets to success, is to not become a victim. A victim has no power. A victim mentality says that somebody did something to me and that person has the power over you. Instead you need to become as a Player. When you are a player, I use the analogy of a blackjack game, regardless of what the dealer is showing, regardless of where you are and your circumstances right now, regardless of what you see physically in front of you, you can still play to win.

That is basically one of my first conscious decisions and definitely need to included in the list of my, secrets to success, Before I even got into transforming your mind or anything like that, I just knew I wasn’t going to be a victim. I’m not going to carry my story to my grave. Somebody did something to me and I looked for the lessons in that story. I look for the positive and what I gained from that situation instead of what somebody took from me. That transformed into my relationships. I don’t bear malice or grudges. If my spouse cheated on me, I give him to right to follow his desires. I could then make my own choices.

Some women hate their spouses because they cheated on them or they did something to them and become bitter and dried up and they take that hate to their graves. When you forgive then you are able to transform yourself.

They say unforgiveness is like drinking poison expecting the other person to die.

#9 Another of my, secrets to success, is that I’m into meditation, and I’m into energy, and I’m into vibration. I’m into having a vision and designing my life and being as a the co-creator in my world. Not just letting things happen to you and you have no control.

My vision is that I want to become the top Podcaster. I’m not going to sit back and not do anything. I work my ass off, every day. I put a lot of energy into this vision because where attention goes, energy flows!

# 10 of my, secrets to success, is to transform my mind, I encourage everybody that’s listening to this podcast or reading this blog, to look at what beliefs and behaviors are not serving you and replace them. It is not easy because most of us live unconsciously, but awareness is key.

Look for the opportunity in any setback. I’m an optimist. I am not sure when this started, but I’m an optimist. Optimism is listed as one of the six foundations to, secrets to success, Anytime something happens to me or I receive any kind of push-back, I look for the opportunity in it. What I’m talking about is, transforming your mind, you know that’s the reason I became a full-time coach. I was working for Office Depot and Office Depot and OfficeMax merged and they fired me and gave me a great severance package. I had worked for Office Depot for ten years. With that severance package, I started my own business and went into it full time. I never looked back. I had co workers who wallowed in self-pity. What am I going to do? How am I going to find a job at 50 years old? Cry, cry.

I heard Oprah say it a different way. The sun is always there even when the clouds are covering it. The sun is still shining underneath, you just can’t see it. Always look for the silver lining, if you look for it, you will find it.

Live your life with intention. Intention is energy, it’s thought. Before you do anything, it first has to be a thought in your brain.
Before you can hold anything in your hand you first have to hold it in your head.

Life After Death, How an Atheist Became a Believer

Is there, life after death,? One day Nancy Rynes was an, Atheist, not believing in God and after her NDE, she is bringing us, messages from Heaven. In this episode of the Transform Your Mind with coach Myrna, we are diving deep into the unknown world of, life after death, I am speaking today with Nancy Rynes. Nancy is the author of, Awakenings from the Light.. a book about her, near death experience, This episode will, transform your mind, on our spiritual bodies answer the question is there, life after death,?

iHeart Radio

Here is Nancy’s story:
• While riding her bicycle, Nancy Rynes was struck by a large SUV. The vehicle’s driver who was completely absorbed in texting, plowed into Nancy, dragging both her and her bike down the street. The driver who was unaware that she had struck anyone, finally came to a stop when horrified onlookers ran into the road blocking the vehicle.
• Suffering multiple broken bones, internal injuries, several severe spinal and head injuries, Rynes knew she was dying. At that moment, she underwent the first of two life-changing near-death experiences—her consciousness split between her frightened, injured self laying on the road, and an impartial, peaceful observer-consciousness who watched as first responders fought to keep her alive. Her second, more lengthy near-death experience came days later, during the surgery that attempted to repair her traumatized body.
• Nancy, a scientist and confirmed skeptic, was shown the wonders of Heaven, experiencing joy, love, peace and beauty on such a grand scale that she wept at its magnitude. She then met and spoke with a Being who gave her insights into life, love, and the wonders of Spirit. After her time in Heaven, and her brief, life after death, experience; Nancy was returned to her body to begin the long, slow process of recovering from injuries her surgeon affirms should have killed her.

Awakenings from the light

• Nancy chronicles her experience in her book “Awakenings from the Light.” She has also authored “Messages from Heaven,” and contributed to the book “Awakened by Death.

• Topic Discussion: Is there, life after death, How an Atheist became a Believer.

Nancy let’s start off by asking you to share the events leading up to your, NDE, experience.

I was an, atheist, I was a scientist and I did a lot of science and technical writing up until the time of my, near death experience, I was at a place in my life, late 40s this was about five years ago. I was feeling as if something needed to change. I felt in a rut and I wanted to attribute that to maybe my job or maybe I needed to find a new place to live. I wanted to change something external. That’s where I found myself that late fall early winter of 2013 heading into 2014 when the accident happened. I wasn’t really a believer in anything other than the physical reality around us. My scientific training taught me that I needed to find evidence, physical evidence. It’s tough to measure the spiritual realm from here, on this physical plane of existence.

I won’t go into too much of the accident itself because that in and of itself can take up a lot of time; but I was as you mentioned in the intro, I was riding my bicycle and was struck by a woman who was texting. I had what I call a dual consciousness experience. During the accident itself where I was able to kind of see the accident happening from outside of my body; but at the same time I was in my body. Now in hindsight, I see that that was really what Deepak Chopra might have alluded to when he said consciousness is not located in the brain. My Higher Self or a higher state of my consciousness kind of pulled itself out of the physical body; but yet the physical body consciousness was still alive and well if you will inside my body and experiencing both.

The accident caused a lot of a lot of bone breaks as you mentioned in the intro,
I had a lot of damage to my spine and in the hospital it was determined that I would need surgery to repair my spine in order to be able to walk because it was kind of touch-and-go there for a while. It turned out that a couple of shards of my back bone had broken off and one of my vertebrae and was just like within a millimeter or two of cutting my spinal cord, so it was pretty close to for me to be a paraplegic. That’s why we agreed to go into surgery that following Monday. It was during the surgery actually that I had my, life after death, experience.

The surgeons gave me the anesthesia and apparently what happened is I had some kind of a reaction to the anesthesia and my heart rate stopped, my blood pressure went to zero, and my breathing stopped for a while. I was clinically dead.

I woke up not laying in the operating room in the hospital, but I woke up standing up. I was vertical standing up on a hillside in this beautiful kind of meadow.
To my left and right were these monstrous trees and they had what I call just an energy scintillating throughout them. In the distance, kind of below me were rows and rows of mountains with a beautiful kind of bright silvery blue mist kind of light going through everything. Then I realized I wasn’t just seeing stuff, I was feeling things, I was feeling what I call love unbelievable Love coming in through me. It felt like I was being embraced by the heavens. Divine love and it was powerful! I also felt along with that Love, a Peace that was unimaginable. I had never felt that before. Peace on a scale that you and I can’t imagine as humans.

I was connected to everything. I began to wonder if I’d died on the operating table.
Then this voice said to me “You are home. This is your home.” As soon as those words came through me, I knew instantly that it was truth. This was my spiritual home. This is where we go in, life after death, This was my home and I didn’t want to leave ever. I wants to rest in this unconditional love on a scale that humans can’t really grasp. We can grasp it as a spiritual being but as a human being it’s hard for
us to really wrap our brains around that kind of love.

I did not want to come back. I knew I had family and friends here but, I knew they would all be okay. But then a womanly figure came up to me and she said that she was my spiritual guide to this place and would teach me what I needed to know in order to come back to my life on earth. That’s when I said well, I don’t want to go back. I told her it’s going to be too hard, it’s going to be painful. My big fear was oh my God what happens if I’m in a wheelchair. She said well, you’ve already agreed to go back. I said I don’t remember agreeing to go back. She then showed me a movie in the air in front of me. She showed me my spirit before I was born into this life and body. My spiritual self, standing or appearing to stand with my spiritual team and I was agreeing to do certain things when I came here into this life and body and one of them was to have this accident to revisit my home in a, life after death, accident and then go back and bring some insights back from what I learned. Once again the truth hit me like a ton of bricks. I remembered, I did agree. I agreed to have this, life after death, experience and accident.

I listened to a podcast a few weeks in which Anita Moorjani told of her, life after death, experience. She was dying with stage 4 cancer and tumors all over her body. On the operating table she had her, life after death, experience and made the decision to come back into her body. When she came back out of that, life after death, experience in a couple of months all the tumors had shrunk and she is now alive and thriving cancer free!

In 2006, Anita Moorjani fell into a coma as my 4-year struggle with cancer was coming to an end. While doctors rushed to attend to my frail body, I entered into a near-death experience (NDE) where I discovered one of life’s greatest truths: Heaven is not a destination; it’s a state of READ ABOUT MY NDEbeing. When I regained consciousness, my cancer miraculously healed and I was free of disease within weeks! Since then, I’ve heeded the call to share this powerful story—and divine lesson—with the world.

I’ve talked to chaplains and ministers about this and they see this a lot with patients who had, near-death experiences, or, life after death, where they had some kind of incredible recovery. I call it being touched by heaven. My spiritual guide taught me a whole bunch of stuff which I put in my book “Awakenings in the Light”

Before she sent me back, she did what I call a healing of my energy or spiritual Body. I could feel this energy coming into me when she was doing this. She placed her hand over my throat area, my upper collarbone area, then over my left shoulder and then along my rib cage because I’d broken a ton of ribs. I think it was five or six ribs that were broken and then I had a punctured lung on that same side, so she put her hand over all of that and kind of did some energy work on me and then she sent me back. When I came back from my, near death experience, I healed so fast, the doctor freaked out.

Conclusion
I learned from my spiritual guide and my, life after death, experience is that she’s with me all the time and there is no separation between where you are in the physical and where we are in the spiritual. It’s just a different energy state and that everybody in the spiritual realm is around us all the time. I can when I do specific meditation techniques to communicate with her more consciously but she also guides me. I mean I know she has a hand in things that happen in my life because there are some things that happen in my life well it may be you know the bigger divine consciousness that we call God, but certainly someone or some being or some set of beings at that level has helped me out quite a bit.

I volunteered to bring this message, but I’m not by any means the only person just one of a team. Someone else’s may reach a different audience.

How to Use the Universal, Law of Action, for Success in Life

Coach Myrna

On Today’s episode “5 Minutes with Coach Myrna”, I teach How to Use the Universal, Law of Action, to achieve Success in Life

In the first episode of 5 mins with coach Myrna, I shared the First Universal Law “The Law of Divine Oneness” If you missed that episode please download. I am teaching on the 12 Universal Laws because they are the blue print for a life by design. They are the rules of the game.

Life is the only job that we don’t get a manual for and most of us leave this body as clueless as when we were born.

Today I want to teach on the:

The second Universal Law the, Law of Action,

Successful people are future oriented so if you are not taking action towards a vision or goal, you will remain stagnant.

Movement creates energy.

Newton First Law states – A body in motion stays in motion. If you, take action, towards your goals you will attain them. If you take, MASSIVE action, towards your goals you will attain them much much faster.

1. Because we are spiritual beings having a human experience, your higher self, which is your source, GOD, gives you guidance in the form of thought or dreams. When you act on that guidance it opens the communication for more guidance. Acting on the guidance you get from your higher self will propel you in the direction of your purpose. One way to gauge if you are moving in the direction of your purpose is your emotions. If you feel excited and happy to do the action then you are aligned. If you don’t feel good then it is not aligned to your goals or purpose and it is not from your spiritual guide. It is said that we have five voices in our head. You have to be able figure out who is speaking to you when you get direction.

If you don’t know what action to take.
Ask yourself, What does successful people do?
Ask yourself again, What do I have to become to do something I have not done before? Taking action usually means stretching yourself to do something you have not done before. The, Law of Action, means taking action in the direction of your goals.

Playing to your strengths will not stretch you.

You have to go beyond your comfort zone and stretch yourself like a rubber band!

Would you like to know what a Life Coach does? A Life Coach prepares you your main goal in life by getting you to your purpose and then holding you accountable to make it happen.

Strengths can be categorized in two columns. The first column are the ones you are born with and the other, the ones you cultivated.

For example Warren Buffet tells the story that he was deathly afraid of public speaking, but he was born with the ability to do math. At a very young age he had the ability to take apart financial statements and understand the true value of a company; but he had zero ability as a speaker. So that was the strength he cultivated. He took action, he joined Toastmasters. The, Law of Action, at work.

Tony Robbins teaches that not only should take action; but you should take, MASSIVE action.

Most coaches will tell their clients, if you have a goal take some action towards that goal. If you want a Mercedes Benz then order a brochure or go test drive it. If you want to enroll in higher education, then go visit the campus and get information; but, MASSIVE action, is totally different. MASSIVE action, is quitting your job and starting your own business. MASSIVE action is Ed Sheeran getting on a plane and coming to America looking for a record deal, with no money in his pocket and sleeping on the subway until he found work! The, Law of Action, worked again, Ed became the biggest male pop-star on the planet!

Conclusion, take action, take, massive action, let the, Law of Action, propel you towards your goals.

Electromagnetic Pollution, How to Reduce Exposure

What is, electromagnetic pollution,? Don Paris PH.D answers this question and teaches us how to reduce our risk from cell phones, microwave ovens, wi-fi etc.
Today on the Transform your Mind with coach Myrna podcast, I continue my conversation with Don Paris, PH.D. Don is an expert in the field of, radionics, electromagnetic pollution, and subtle energies in the spiritual dimension.

Don Paris, Ph.D. is a published author, speaker, video producer, and musician. His book, Regaining Wholeness Through the Subtle Dimensions has been published internationally in German, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, and English. He is known as the guru of the SE-5, the world’s most respected subtle energy instrument.

subtle energies

He is well loved for his style of bringing challenging concepts into an easy to understand language and has been a popular speaker at the Global Sciences Congress, Congress of Spiritual Scientists and the United States Psychotronics Association.

He has created the most detailed explanation of the principles of Radionics and the most advanced training courses in the entire field. He began exploring the subtle dimensions in the early seventies, and has now trained people in over 30 countries around the world in the workings of Radionics and the subtle dimensional realities.

Don was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Human Sciences from the International University of Vitalogical Sciences in Stockholm Sweden in 2000 for his work with the SE-5 and subtle energies.

The following is a excerpt from our conversation.

I would like to start by asking the question how does the field of Radionics affect your
Specialty, subtle dimensions and, Electromagnetic pollution,?

That’s a difficult question to answer. I agree because it is such a broad and vast field.
We’re primarily three dimensional creatures, running around with our eyes and our nose and
mouth and this other dimension it’s more of a spiritual dimension. That’s the best way that I could describe it. It’s non-physical so since it’s non-physical we’re attempting to use our physical senses to try to understand something that’s non-physical and I think we’re making a lot of headway. Radio waves are non-physical they’re not really here in the physical realm and yet we’ve learned how to understand them enough to be able to utilize them to communicate with each other, to see pictures across the world, to detect objects underwater. I mean it’s just amazing what we’ve been able to do with some of these frequencies that are invisible and likewise these subtle energy fields are invisible. They’re not something that’s directly tangible like for example acupuncture. According to acupuncture medicine, we have these energy streams that run up and down our body. These streams of energy, or subtle energies, if they get blocked will cause disease in the physical body. So these, non-physical energies, these subtle energies, invisible energies, actually have an effect on the physical body. Acupuncture is one of the ways where they put a needle where the blockage is, and then the energy frees up. It starts flowing again just like taking the logs out of a small stream!

We also have what we call Chakras from the Indian perspective. These energy lines in the
body are also called Nadis and they’re governed by the seven major Chakras. We can use Radionics to actually measure the strength of the Chakras and find out if there are any blockages. We can then correct those blockages or free up that energy at the same time.

With the SE-5 where we can tune into these subtle energy fields. The person can be anywhere on the planet.

The SE-5 is like a musical instrument. Let’s say for example we
wanted to check your heart Chakra. I would put your photograph inside the instrument and or a hair sample and then I would look in the computer, because this is all you know stored in the computer. We have 17,000 different frequencies we can choose from; but let’s just say we chose the heart Chakra frequency and then I have an amplitude knob that goes from 0 up to a
hundred percent. I want to check the percentage of how strong and picking up, so I start dialing down from a hundred percent because that’s the ideal state would be a hundred percent if your heart chakra was open and flowing. The chakra could close from stress, it could close from shock. These are energy waves and environmental things and, electromagnetic frequencies, the wrong frequency might even shut down part of a chakra. If it shuts down too much it’ll starve the organ because it won’t get the cosmic energy it needs. It’ll start starving the organ and then disease sets
in.

What is, electromagnetic pollution, ?

Electromagnetic is the technical term. Anytime electrons are moving from point A to point B, they create an electrical field; but they also create a magnetic Field, perpendicular to the electrical field. So we’ve got these two forces of nature running side by side. In one direction it’s called a vector from point A to point B. Some of these electromagnetic frequencies, the frequency is how fast it changes in polarity. For example from a positive to a negative or in electrical sense or magnetically from north to south pole. These frequencies oscillate. The shorter or smaller amounts distance becomes between the pulses.

In America we have 50 cycle per second, whereas Europe has 60 cycles per second which means the wave form goes up and down 60 times in a second. So an electromagnetic frequency is an actual wave form that we’ve learned how to harness for our use. For example electricity at sixty Hertz we can light up light bulbs and turn on our computer. Make an amplifier to make this sound for our stereo louder, we can do a lot of things with it. 30 40 years ago we didn’t really have too much. We had radio waves, we had television waves, which are still quite low frequencies comparatively to what we’re doing now with all these cellphones and Wi-Fi and all that. In the last 30 to 40 years there been a plethora of frequencies that have been invented and started to be put into use between cell phone towers for Wi-Fi. Now they have smart meters in conjunction with what’s already floating around electromagnetic fields from computers and light bulbs and microwave. Electrical and microwave ovens, all of these radiations are starting to mix together.

It started out kind of simply with cell phones. They started with 2 G, 2 gigahertz and that’s still pretty high but they keep raising these frequencies because we want faster speeds. We want the internet on our phone, which adds to, electromagnetic pollution, We want to watch movies on our phone, so they keep going higher and higher in frequency. Here is the principle.

Google Play
google play

The lower the frequency, the further it will travel.

Generally speaking as you get into higher frequencies, the distance that they will travel away from the source gets shorter and shorter. Now this new thing they’re rolling out is called 5G and I’m sure people the audience has already heard about it; but in order to make it work you know before we had 4G and 3G and 2G, well those came from mostly from cell phone towers and the towers are pretty far spaced apart. You could put one on a hillside and another one on the other hillside and get the signal from A to B. Well 5G can’t do that. The signal just can’t make it very far. We’re talking a hundred meters or two hundred yards that’s as far as it can go, so they have to put more towers everywhere.

That is when the problem of, electromagnetic pollution, comes when there’s just so much that. All these frequencies it’s confusing our bodies.

I did this test with a woman in Bulgaria. In the blood test so she took a little spot of her blood and put it into the microscope and looked at her red blood cells and they you know she wasn’t in the healthiest of states to begin with, so they’re a little bit kind of close together and on top of each other. Healthy cells should have space around each cell it should have a little space around it so that it can absorb nutrients. These cells are trying to protect themselves from this, electromagnetic pollution, and they’re all hiding together to try and stop this invasion and it’s just scary to see what happens after ten minutes on a cell phone! I mean I was shocked.

I’ve been hearing you shouldn’t put your cell phone to your head. I do it all the time.
If you read your little instruction booklet that you got with your phone and you go down to the fine print and you look under the warnings, they say don’t put this any closer than I think three quarters of an inch close to your head because of, electromagnetic pollution, and because it’s putting out microwaves and microwaves cook.

I just started using my headset I was always just putting the phone in my ear. My goodness
I’ve been using cell phones for twenty years, It scares me to this of all the, electromagnetic pollution, damage I have been doing to my head. It must be cooked to well done by now!

Conclusion
Listen for the audio version of, electromagnetic pollution, on iTunes, Google play, Spotify, iHeart radio, TuneIn radio and all other podcast players to head Don Paris PH.D tells us how to reduce our exposure to, electromagnetic pollution,.

How to Regain Wholeness with, Radionics,

Don Paris, PH.D takes us through the history of, Radionics, and how the science of, Radionics, allows us to get information from subtle dimensional realities.
• Don Paris, Ph.D. is a published author, speaker, video producer, and musician. He and his wife, Ilona Selke, who work as a team, have contributed to radio and TV shows, and have been quoted in numerous publications around the world. They teach seminars in Quantum Psychology in the US, Europe and Asia.

When not traveling to teach, they divide their time between their homes in the Pacific Northwest and Bali.

In his work he had dedicated himself to bridging the barrier of the physical boundaries to the subtle dimensional realities.

What is, Radionics?

The History of, Radionics,

Radionics, started almost a little over a hundred years ago. Believe it or not this is when electronics were just kind of getting off the ground. Radionics, got the name from the word radio because that was the technology that was around at the time it was discovered.
Dr. Albert Abrams in the early 1900s and during that time period he was a medical doctor he was a medical genius doctor. He got his medical degree at age 16 and he too was young to practice, so he went to Europe and Germany and got another medical degree and then came back and started practicing medicine but this guy was an absolute genius and during that time period how they would diagnose a person. One of the diagnostic techniques before we had all this fancy stuff was they would do a percussion technique on the abdomen. They would tap on the abdomen to see if there were any sore spots so it was kind of simple and you know kind of like they do with the doctors do it now. One day he noticed that this patient came in and he tapped on his stomach for a minute it had this big hollow sound and it was like well that’s kind of weird. He’d never heard that sound before and so he went home and he thought about this is strange sound. So he had this guy come back in. The hollow sound was gone and he’s really puzzled about this. He decided to put him back exactly in the same place in the same direction and the hollow sound appeared again and this totally blew his mind. So he got to thinking in his genius mind what earth energies was responsible. After much research, he was able to detect various types of disease by the sound tapping made on the abdomen.

Today if I put a resistance box in between the two people maybe I could filter out one disease versus another. We now have, radionics, which is computerized and a quantum leap from there but those very beginnings. I don’t remember how long 20 30 years he developed these processes, he taught doctors all over the world and about this time is when Rockefeller started investing into pharmaceuticals and they formed the American Medical Association which was basically from my perspective to help the Rockefellers get rid of both electro medicine and homeopathy that was their goal.

How to Overcome the Pain of Domestic Violence and Child Molestation

My guest today shares her story of years of, domestic violence, she was verbally and physically abused by her parents and then continued the cycle into abusive relationships, one of them almost killing her. After her last abusive relationship ended, she discovered that he was sexually molesting her 7 year old daughter. Shermomicia tells a powerful story of how she is stopping the cycle of, domestic violence, and healing her family.

SHOW NOTES

Domestic Abuse and Childhood Trauma

Shermonicia tell me your back story. I know you’re studying for your masters right
now but can you take us through your journey to this point in your life.
I have three sisters and one brother. The four of us growing up with my mother and father they were both on drugs. My whole entire life was abusive. I am also a victim of sexual molestation. I was sexually attacked when I was like seven or eight. It was hard growing up with both parents on drugs. I have three kids with 3 different men who were all abusive.
I’m going to talk about the abuse today is where the abuse that almost cost me my life

I would say that my abuse started way before I even got with any man. My mother was very verbally and physically abusive. Every day she would tell me how she wished she never had us.
She called us all kind of names so, I didn’t have no self-esteem, none whatsoever. My father was abusive as well, he would abuse my mom. It led me to abusive men. I got married to my son’s dad and he was verbally abusive. He left me and my son with no money and we got evicted. I lost my job because of him and we’d had nowhere to go, so my mother decided I guess you can come stay with me. So I lived with her for a little while and I was able to get back on my own feet to get my own place. I met my oldest daughter father 2 years after my divorce. We got together and I had his child seven months after we met. Four months after she was born, the abuse and , domestic violence, started. It lasted for four years. I was physically beaten not daily, maybe every other day. He was a monster. He really was. I have been kicked in my head, I have been punched and choked and slapped; brought up against walls dragged, through the house by my hair. He locked me in a closet, he used belts. I didn’t want to sleep with him, two times he knocked me unconscious and he got so scared because he thought he killed me.
Wow, domestic violence, is no joke. It is hard for me to write this.

Shermonicia let’s talk about what happened in the third, domestic violence, relationship.

I met him in 2013 and right away we started a sexual relationship. He was always saying I
don’t want a girlfriend, I just want to have have fun. I got pregnant seven months after meeting him. So here I am, a third child by a third man. He used God to get in the door. He said God told me you’re going to be my wife and he just he moved in. For the first 3-4 months the relationship was wonderful. He’s was a, narcissist who used sex to control, He was very sexual he used sex with everything that he does, so after 4 months the verbal and mental abuse started. The pattern of, domestic violence, started again. He’d push me against the wall, he’d put his hands on me, but it wasn’t like the first, domestic violence, relationship I was in. He propose and we were planning our wedding and fifty
days before the wedding he called it off. He jumped on me in front of my children and walked out. About a month after he left he left, my seven-year-old daughter came to me and said he put grease between my legs. That kind of caught me off guard and when I went to him and asked him about it and he said she was hurting down there so I put grease.
My daughter would not talk about it until I took her to a church group, the lady was sharing about how her father molested her and she broke down and told me all what her was doing to her. It was almost like a second heartbreak to me because I was dealing with a breakup. We had a four year old child together, I was going to marry this man. It was devastating and so I
immediately contacted the authorities and you know got everything going. The trial starts in a couple of weeks.

Tune in to listen to this incredible story of survival and how Shermomicia is making sure that the cycle does not continue to her daughters.

• Amy lives in the Washington, DC Metro area with husband (#2) of 16 years, and her 10 year old son. Find out more about Amy, her services, programs and her monthly Motivated to Marry podcasts at www.MotivatedtoMarry.com also available on iTunes.

In this episode you will learn:

How do you prepare yourself to meet the, motivated to marry, man or woman?

I have top-down approach with my clients, we first look at what you want for your
Life. It’s being clear about your life. I go deep into the values and there’s a way for me to
really kind of flush them out and pull them out because people think they know
their values but when they go through my process they really kind of see.
Over 80% of my successfully matched, motivates to marry, couples met their
partners through online dating after they applied my process.
They become so empowered and they don’t take crap from anybody. I train them to
watch out for those wishy-washy men who like well, maybe I’ll get married
someday, maybe I’ll have a family one day.

What to talk about on a First Date

I say on a first date there are three things that you really just
need to pay attention to.
1. Does the conversation flow?
2. Do you not see any real apparent deal-breakers? The things
that you know are not going to work for you.
3. Are you somewhat attracted to this person? I mean not like you
can’t even imagine kissing him!

I mean usually within three or four dates you know whether somebody is
Going to work and if they are, motivated to marry,

What does, Motivated to Marry, mean?
We throw around the term, motivated to marry, so much since that is the topic of your
book and that’s the topic of your expertise.
Motived to Marry, it is a mindset, it’s dating with a purpose,
It came to me as I was dating and I was in my late thirties and I’m standing at a
party and I’m talking to this guy and he’s really cute and he plays with a
band and he’s going off to Europe for six months, and I’m kind of like
a strategic Maximizer, so I’m listening, I’m like oh my God, he’s not, motivated to marry,

What are some of the characteristics of the, motivated to marry, man or woman?
The, motivated to marry, is basically somebody who if a woman looking for a man. I
would say that he’s secure and is stable financially. Stable career, like everything else in his life
is set, except he’s missing the missing the relationship piece. These, motivated to marry, men
tend to hate singles events and being single. They desire to have a steady companionship rather than the stress of continuing going out. I would say more introverted people tend to be, motivated to marry, and that’s why online dating has been phenomenal. Introverts love the internet because it’s a one-to-one medium.

How many dates should you go on before becoming exclusive?
By the fourth or fifth dates, you know whether you want go further. I
have a whole thing about when to be exclusive and what you need before
you would be willing to be a exclusive. To stop dating other people and just focus
on this person. In the, motivated to marry, model I suggest that you kind of
have to have the conversation about how long you’re going to be in a relationship before expecting to go the next step. I told my husband when we were dating, I’m not dating to date, I’m, dating for a purpose, of marriage and having a family.

I’m, dating with purpose, I absolutely love that phrase because you can weed out so
much without being intrusive.

How to Work with Amy

I have a self-learning program I call a Home Study, the motivated to marry, dating
secrets program which is eight modules and it takes you through, the motivated to marry, process in terms of getting to know yourself better, your goals and your values, which values to focus on as well as your must-haves or deal breakers and non-negotiables; so you really build way to really sift through people quickly. I also give you a lot of ideas about how to meet people.
I have 12 areas that I’ve identified of areas that we need to pay attention to in
A relationship and the conversations we need to have with our partner and then I
also give you some tools some relationship tools. I have written article on the test of time as long-term couples have lasted and I have the relationship dating hurdles.
The steps that you need to get from dating to engagement.

IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN:

How to cultivate consciousness and life skills for, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls,
Today I am speaking with author, Kenya E. Aissa, MS, is a Social Worker whose experience counseling girls, ages 12-22, has given her valuable insight into their thoughts on the validity of spiritual practice. As a primary counselor in a residential drug rehabilitation program created specifically for traumatized girls (one of only a handful of such programs in the U.S.), Ms. Aissa created and implemented a weekly spirituality group. In the next few years, she discovered that confusion, insecurity, and fearfulness are pervasive amongst girls, and they have few internal skills with which to combat these issues. Education and information about women’s spiritual lives are greatly lacking in our schools and in our society. For young women, this dilemma can result in:
• • Banishment of all spiritual and/or religious beliefs, due to anger and disappointment;
• • Adopting non-traditional practices simply for shock value, or to gain a sense of control;
• • A sense of abandonment and loneliness born of fear, which may result in filling the emptiness with negative people, substance abuse, unhealthy sexual relationships, or early motherhood;
• • Feelings of hopelessness, which may result in depression and other mental health issues.

How did you transition your Masters in psychology and counseling into specifically helping, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls?
I started working back in the late 90s with my girls that were at a residential treatment center. I was really dropped into that position. I was a little bit blindsided actually, because I really wanted the job. I really wanted to work at a drug treatment facility. I really loved working with
children and I already had the experience. When I got the job I didn’t know that I would be specializing, that my caseload would be specifically,
treating, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls, I quickly gained the experience because I was with them all the time. I ran groups I worked with them and their families. I drove them from place to place. I did all kinds of activities with them, and so I had to learn really quickly how to work with, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls, These girls were neglected, abandoned, sexually abused etc. I had a couple of girls that were very involved in gangs and so then there’s all of the stuff that comes with being involved in a gang. Often there’s a lot of sex, a lot of sexual assault, sometimes unwanted pregnancies a lot of drugs.
Then there’s a lot of fear because of the behavior. Then of course once the drugs become a factor that’s another layer to the whole thing, because a lot of girls with, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls, will get involved in drugs to mask the pain of their childhood. I had some girls who were prostituting. So there was there were a lot of things that I would say that every almost every kid had some sort of sexual abuse or sexual trauma.

When I was in adoptions, that I had had a lot of experience with, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls, I could have real conversations with parents because we had parents that, especially with teenagers, we had adoptive parents that would give their adoptive kids back. No kidding. Teenagers are hard under the best of circumstances. They are worst with, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls,

Teenage boys have a different set of coping skills. The way of treating boys with PTSD is different than it is with girls. My book Sacred Girl: Spiritual Life Skills For Conscious Young Women focuses on, on what works for, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls. Helping them to find their voice and helping them to use tools to strengthen themselves and to gain empowerment.

I then came up with the appropriate strategies to treat, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls. Our goal it’s very action-oriented and so it’s my belief personally that talking just isn’t enough. You hear a lot about talk therapy and all that stuff and talking just doesn’t do the trick for, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls, You can’t just talk your way out of the problem and so you really have to do something.

There has to be some action. That’s really what my what my book is really about. It is allowing, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls, and let’s just say youth in general to understand that they have the power, they can cultivate life skills and coping skills. I really felt like the movement and the actual thinking of the activities was a way to connect to what was going on with their brain and connect them to their emotions. So we did a lot of yoga. Now I’m a yoga teacher but back then I really had no idea what I was doing.

We did the whole altar thing. In my book there’s a whole section about altars.
For helping deal with, Post traumatic stress disorder in teenage girls, an altar could be their bedside table. Whatever have meaning for you, or that make you feel spiritually or psychically connected.

“Among youth with post-traumatic stress disorder, the study found structural differences between the sexes in one part of the insula, a brain region that detects cues from the body and processes emotions and empathy. How Childhood Trauma affects Adults
How Childhood Trauma affects Adults

IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN:

How does, childhood trauma, impact adults in life and love?
Riana goes over ten, childhood traumas, and relate them back to how they show up in our lives as an adult.
To get the most out of this topic, Riana advise the listeners to Get a sheet of paper and make three columns.

The first column you put “ME”, the second column you put “Your partner” and the third column you put “Your parents” because research shows, childhood trauma, go through the generations.

So here are the ten, childhood traumas:

As I speak them remember that when you were child you’re very young and innocent all you knew is what mom and dad modeled to you so there’s
nothing to feel guilt or shame about.
I don’t want people to say no it didn’t happen because they’re embarrassed or they feel shame around it.
If it is a fact, if it happened write it down.
It is like putting a puzzle together. Once you know what your, childhood trauma, is and then how it’s showing up as a for you as an adult.
As a coach, I can start putting the pieces together and everything starts making a whole lot of sense.

My favorite line is you can’t change what you don’t understand.

Childhood trauma, #1
1. Addictions – as a child, did your parents have any addiction?
Now we typically think of drugs and alcohol, but there’s also sex addiction.
If your parent was a cheater or watched porn, have an eating addiction, was a hoarder,
spending or gambling, workaholic etc. There’s 11 addictive behaviors.

Childhood trauma, #2

2. Verbal abuse – Did you witness your mom and dad screaming and yelling at each other? This, Childhood trauma, is typical is yelling screaming but this also includes no verbal alkaloids, no compliments, not hearing I love you
verbally humiliated, or put down, your opinion means nothing, or statements like “you’ll never amount to anything.” Comments like that.

Childhood trauma, #3

3. Emotional abuse or Neglect – Your parents were not around, being gone for long periods of time. Research also shows latch key kids let’s say they came home from school at 3 o’clock and mom if they’re in a single household mom
had to work 9 to 5. That child is alone for two or so hours.

There’s anxiety around that. So that even falls under the neglect believe it or not. While we’re out trying to support our kids there home alone.

Childhood trauma, #4

4. Physical Abuse, Rape or Molestation – This, childhood trauma,  could have happened in or outside of the home. Physical abuse is being beat hit in any way other than the typical spanking like a quick spank on the butt. Research shows that spanking does nothing to help teach your child anything, so I always say when I do parenting lectures in the schools we’re supposed to teach our child another way.

If you’re beating them or hitting them you’re teaching them to be violent back. We don’t want to do that.

Childhood trauma, #5

5. Abandonment – There’s two types, childhood trauma, from abandonment. Fault and No Fault abandonment.
Here are three examples, childhood trauma, from no-fault abandonment.
• a parent has to go off and serve at war
• a parent happens to die early
• early a parent travels away from the home a lot for work. 20:24

Here is an example of “Fault” abandonment:
• Divorce and the mom or dad leaves the home and is supposed to see the children every weekend and is either late or
cancels, does not pick up the child. The dad is spending more time with his new girlfriend than he is paying attention to you the child.

Childhood trauma, #6

6. Adoption – if you were adopted, part of the foster care system, or you needed to live with relatives because mom or dad couldn’t take care of you, that even includes Grandma’s, aunts or uncles. I had a client who signed up with me she
asks “How about if we chose to live with another family because we didn’t want to go home? I said yes that falls under this category because there was always yelling and screaming in her household so she didn’t want to go home.

Childhood trauma, #7

7. Personal trauma – This comes from being bullied, feeling different not fitting in, being a little overweight as a child or like me skinny and gawky. Many people remember being bullying not part of the sports teams.

Childhood trauma, #8

8. Sibling trauma – Your sibling could have been born with a medical issue where it demanded more of moms and dads time. Or they could be bullying you, but most often this one applies to if you perceive your sibling as being the golden child. They were more athletically beautiful or handsome or intelligent getting better grades and mom or dad gushed over
them versus you. You were always trying to prove yourself and say see I’m worthwhile too.

Childhood trauma, #9

9. Community trauma – If a parent was incarcerated, if you moved a lot like military families. In the U.S.A military families move every two to four years. Growing up in lack, growing up in dangerous neighborhoods, that’s all
family trauma and community trauma. Today we can also have, childhood trauma, if we have active volcanoes, massive fire, floods, hurricanes, mass shootings in our community.

https://blog.myhelps.us/whats-your-story-breakthesilence/

Childhood trauma, #10

10. Mental Health – Bipolar, Manic Depression, Hidden personalities. We have Sociopaths and narcissism is part of community trauma. Sociopathic means that they have no regard for your emotional feelings, they act on what they want, when they want without thinking about their partner or the repercussions.

I am unlike every other love coach, because I specialize in how the past has harmed you and what you’re attracting. We call it same person different face. The repetitive toxic relationships and this happens to my clients who are very successful
in business but they struggle in love. They can’t figure out why like I can get the career right,

4 Ways a Traumatic Childhood Affects Adult Relationships

What happens to us as children can affect the attachment style we carry into our adult relationships. Childhood Trauma, hugely influences attachment. Often people who grew up in happy, healthy, and stable homes where caregivers were emotionally available and responsive to their needs have a secure attachment style. These people don’t push partners away or cling too tightly. While they may have troubles in their relationships, an unhealthy attachment style isn’t the cause.

The Long Shadow of Childhood Trauma

A new study suggests that stress experienced early in life damages the ability to assess risk, creating young adults with poor decision-making skills.
